Save money – if you have a fourth grader!

Here are the details on the fourth grade FREE entry program!

New York State Parks will accept the National Park Service’s (NPS) Every-Kid-in-a Park pass upon presentation for free entry for 4th grade students into all State Parks in 2017. The pass applies only to the vehicle entry fee, and the 4th grader must be present in the vehicle. The pass will also be accepted at state historic sites for the pass holder and up to 3 adults for house tour fees. This is a pilot program as part of a series of initiatives to encourage youth visitation to state parks, historic sites and public lands. Fourth grade students can obtain and print their pass HERE.

The pass is for fourth-grade students for the 2017 Parks operating season (expires December 31, 2017)

The fourth-grade student must be present when the pass is presented.
The pass covers the vehicle use fee at New York State Parks and the fee for historic site tours for the fourth grader and up to 3 family members.
The pass does not cover amenities such as camping, pool fees, rentals or special tours.
Students cannot transfer the pass to anyone else.
Electronic versions of the paper pass cannot be accepted.
There is no way to request a refund if the pass is not presented.
The pass should be presented upon entry where park staff will welcome the 4th grader and his/her family and provide the car with a no-fee “Connect Kids” ticket for the car dashboard. The federal pass remains with the student. Where there is no manual fee collection, the pass may be left on the car dashboard.
Special Note: Visitors to Niagara Falls State Park must either locate the lot attendant or bring their parking ticket and pass to the Visitor Center (for Lot 1) or the Cave of the Winds Plaza Ticketing/Information window (for Lot 2) to have it validated for the free parking.

There are a number of State Parks in WNY – including Niagara Falls, Beaver Island, Fort Niagara and more. (MORE HERE)

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
