January is National Blood Donation Month and the need is great – always.
Thirteen-year-old Drake McKane of Chautauqua County is someone who has required blood products. Drake recently completed a two-year battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Throughout Drake’s treatment for ALL he received over 60 blood transfusions. Many of the transfusions took place at Oishei Children’s Hospital with blood provided by ConnectLife.
ConnectLife needs continued help from the community to ensure that those in need, just like Drake, are helped through blood donation.
