The kindness is contagious in WNY. A local business has stepped up with news of a fundraiser for the Luca S. Calanni Foundation. The foundation is named in honor of the 11-year-old Hamburg boy who died this past weekend from complications from the flu.
Here’s what Amsdell Ice Cream posted:
“??? In a world where you can be anything, be kind! As members of this amazing community, we would like to support and honor the legacy of Luca Calanni. The Calanni family is part of the Amsdell community and we want to support them. We invite you to come together in honor of Luca during our scheduled “pop up” on Saturday, February 1st from Noon to 4pm. During this time, we will be serving treats with an ‘orange flare’. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Luca S. Calanni Foundation and donations will also be accepted. This is a great opportunity for our community to come together to support Luca’s desire to help others, as well as supporting the Calanni Family. ???”
What a wonderful gesture.
