Brian Moorman grateful to WNYers for matching $17 donations to P.U.N.T Foundation – and he’s pretty excited for the Bills, too.

How great is this! How Totally Buffalo is this…

The fabulous Bills fans who’ve been giving and giving and giving to Dalton’s charity – aren’t forgetting the children in WNY and their families!!!!

Brian Moorman’s P.U.N.T Foundation has been receiving $17 dollar donations from Bills fans, too. The money will stay right here in our own community and help children dealing with cancer and their families. And while the numbers aren’t nearly what the Dalton charity is seeing, it’s a start! A great start.

For Moorman – it’s not shocking at all, “No I am not surprised at all at the generosity of the Bills fans trying to make good on Andy Dalton’s TD pass,” Moorman said in an email, “Buffalo Bills fans are some of the most, if not the most, passionate fans in the NFL and when you combine the excitement of making the playoffs and the opportunity to help kids, I’m not shocked that many have jumped on board.”

Also not surprising – those same fans helping kids and families right here, “Then seeing donations starting to flow in to P.U.N.T. to help local kids In WNY was very humbling. My wife and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of a team that people feel passionate enough about to donate to and help children battling this horrible illness. Many of the kids we have met through the years have weathered the playoff drought right along with all of us and I know that all of them are smiling and cheering now. I couldn’t be happier for them and all of Buffalo Bills country.”

Brian Moorman may have played during the drought years but the non-profit he founded continues to make a major difference in WNY every day thanks to the generosity of this wonderful community,

“My first year in Buffalo was only 2 seasons removed from making the playoffs. I had just seen, along with all Bills fans, a decade of success. There was no reason to think we weren’t going to be right back in. Then I always felt like it was “going to be our year”, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. So finally to see the excitement of the team and the city is thrilling. This is a long time coming and I don’t care what any other NFL market says, there are no fans like Buffalo Bills fans.”

The beloved former Bills punter – like most of us – just can’t say it enough, “The Buffalo Bills are in the playoffs!!!! How great that sounds!!!”

The mission of the P.U.N.T. Foundation is to provide children affected by cancer and their families with the opportunities and support to enjoy the life for which they fight so hard. The Foundation provides assistance, valuable family-centered programs and events designed to enrich their lives, provide them with support and create memorable experiences.

I personally know about a dozen children this amazing foundation has helped… it truly makes a difference. Please help if you can!!

Brian is one of the true heroes in our WNY community. His foundation has helped hundreds of kids and their families affected by this horrible disease. Thank you Brian. You’re a quality man.
