UPDATE: So far, Sebastian’s Lego club has already collected 48 Lego sets that will be donated to sick children. how amazing is that…
We first told you about 9-year-old Sebastian Bradley a few weeks ago. The young Williamsville boy has brain cancer and sadly, treatment wasn’t working, and has been stopped.
He’s asked for Christmas cards to help make his last Christmas special.
But what’s truly special – is Sebastian himself.
He has some exciting news he would like to share.
Sebastian and his family are teaming up with Oishei Children’s Hospital – forming a foundation called Sebastian’s Lego Club.
When Sebastian was in the hospital he would always bring a new LEGO set to help him pass the time. With all of the support he’s receiving from the community he wanted a way to give back, to help other sick kids.
So instead of people offering to give him toys he would love for a new Lego set donation that he can bring to Children’s Hospital for other sick kids. How amazing is that!? At such a young age, and facing this horrific uncertainty – the one thing he is certain of is that he wants to help.
Sebastian himself made the very first donation – with a huge smile on his face.
Jenny Kaltman is a family friend – she’s worked hard to help the family get this off the ground. It’s something she just had to do for this very special family, “I just keep thinking how horrible it would be to know that your child isn’t going to make it. Then I look at my life an how fortunate I am with my family and something just kept telling me that I need to do something to help.”
So she did. Jenny helped set the foundation up. She – along with the rest of us – is inspired by Sebastian’s spirit.
