What a game!!!! That snow was amazing – you couldn’t look away!
It’s the picture seen around the web! Dedicated Bills fans clinging to one another – covered in all that cold, wet snow! It’s been shared many times on social media. Matt Wittmeyer is the photographer who snapped the amazing shot!
And of course there are many other amazing photos circling the web.

And look at some of the headlines from around the nation. CBS Sports:

And in the end – a big win for the Bills in a game they won’t forget for quite a while!
Bottom line – there are no better fans anywhere. No more loyal or dedicated fans. And maybe no other fans – quite as crazy!!!! #Billieve.

Son and grandchildren attended game will never forget it stuck three times leaving parking lot! Left at half time home warming up with homemade soup! Happy the Bills won love this blog Mary. Joann
Ha! It’ll take a while for them to warm up!!! What an experience.
Thanks for the kind words!!!
My nephew Matt Wittmeyer who is a professional photographer took the shot.
Thank you! I added your comment to the story! What a great shot!!!
The worst was the half hour it took us to get through the gate. I had good body warmth going up until that point. I’d have stayed longer but my feet were soaked. Apparently 6 layers of waterproofing weren’t enough. Great game, though. The fans were in it!
Yeah, once your feet get cold and wet – that’s it!!
Great game!!!
You couldn’t pay me to sit out in the snow like that. I can’t believe that stadium isn’t covered. I know it’s the “hometown advantage” or whatever, but that just sounds like absolute torture to me.
It’s Buffalo!! We’re a city of strong great people! A little snow doesn’t scare us!! Now hurricanes & wildfires are scary! God bless all affected by those??. Snow is just cold & messy, but it goes away❄️❄️!
I haven’t been to a game this season so today was the game we decided on… My friends from Houston were so excited to be going… We had a blast!!! Had the best time and even got to meet and help support a great cause by purchasing T-Shirts from Tristan the Streaker!!! What an all around memorable day was had!!! The drive home… Well that was tricky!!! LOL
Wow..am a 1966 Hamburg High School graduate known as Spanky..Now live in Thailand..pics brought back growing up memories…good ones…GO BILLS…
Why don’t you just close the roof? ……Oh, …..you don’t have one!! In AZ, we close the roof when it gets 95 or hotter. Might want to think about getting one for just this type of game! ?
Best snow game ever!
Buffalo is SPECTACULARBRRRR!!!!!! That should be our new slogan,we should embrace this!
I have to wonder how old you are Ron …
We “old coots” are mostly remembering when this game was played on real grass, and when the weather, of whatever kind, was part of the game.
Plus … it makes us WNY expats homesick.
Columbia boots – don’t even need 2 pairs of socks or toe warmers.
Wimps!
That isn’t real football!
I remember watching games in the 1960’s where the final scores were 3 – zip. Couldn’t pass, see the field, the ball….. Great times!
We moved to Florida 2 years ago, but we watched the game at the Sarasota branch of Casa di Pizza. My son now has our season tickets. I don’t miss that weather.
Mary congratulations on your blog. I was a BPS high school assistant principal and I used to watch you on Daybreak before going to work ach morning.
And our houses are still standing when snow melts.
Well here goes I am 74 yrs old Born and raised here will be a Bills fan always Win or Loose. The people of Buffalo have been in worst conditions then this game but we all come together no matter what is thrown at us that’s what true Buffalo people do. And Thank you to all you Bill’s Fan’s that stuck it out to the end .Great game my Buffalo Team.Congratulation’s
That was the most fun I’ve had @ a Bills game all season! The snow is what made it so awesome, as long as you know how to dress for it you stay toasty warm. My wife and I did anyway
Its buffalo love it im handicapped i never attended a game but I’m a arm chair quarter back. That was a great game better at home warmer love our bills
Boycotting the NFL this year, but could not resist watching the home town team play football the way it was meant to be played, no domes allowing Mother Nature decide on the weather.
Unable to watch game from here in North Central Texas, but heard the stories from family still living in and around WNY. I remember going to the games in the old War Memorial Stadium with my dad, Leo English when the Lions Club or other organizations would take a bus load to the games. Didn’t dare drive and park in the neighborhood at that time (early 60’s.) Not many people outside of the Buffalo area know the meaning of real football weather.
