Love is in the air at a local animal shelter this Valentine’s Day!

Niagara SPCA is letting everyone know – there’s nothing wrong with being single, which is why they’re running “Single & Lovin’ It”!

The adoption promotion, which runs now through Feb. 15th, waives adoption fees for dogs who prefer to be the only pet in the home.

“Our adoptable shelter dogs are the most amazing dogs, but the problem sometimes is that they love people, they just don’t love other pets. We wanted to bring awareness to some of our overlooked dogs this Valentine’s Day with this promotion in the hopes we can help find them their forever homes,” said Tim Brennan, Executive Director.

The promotion will coincide with the SPCA’s Lonely Hearts Adoption Event on Saturday, Feb. 15 where adopters can pick a Valentine and win a percentage off their adoption fee. A bake sale will also raise funds for Lucy the shelter dog who just had ear surgery. For more information on adoptable pets, visit NiagaraSPCA.org to find your new best friend.

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
