A few weeks ago, we told you about Thomas Ackley, Jr – known as TJ. The 10-year-old Alden boy’s cancer recently returned and doctors now say it is terminal. The family refuses to give up hope and are doing everything possible to save their little boy. In the meantime, TJ is fighting with courage and grace. He always has a smile on his face – and in his experiences can teach all of us an awful lot.

TJ has an entire community supporting and praying for him, and his mother Kerry says her appreciation is beyond measure.

TJ continues treatment at Oishei Children’s Hospital and friends hope receiving cards from folks would not only help him pass the time, but also show him just how loved and supported he is!

If you have a moment to send a card – and perhaps include a photo of an animal – any animal – that would be amazing. Here is the address..

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
