This family has gone through way too much. They are so strong and such an inspiration despite everything they are facing. Let’s rally behind this family and help relieve some of their financial stress – and allow them to concentrate on what is most important.
Friends & Family are hosting a benefit with all proceeds going to The Miller Family to help with medical costs for both Larry & TJ.
Larry had a TIA Stroke on 5/20/19 and a mass was found on June 20th. He is scheduled to have surgery on August 7th to remove the mass and find out if it is cancerous or not. Since 5/20 he has not been able to work and his unemployment has run out. It is unknown at this time if he will be able to return to work as a truck driver. Larry is the sole provider for his wife and step sons. He provides the health insurance for his whole family.
TJ is 11 years old and battling stage 4 terminal neuroblastoma. He was first diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma when he was 5.5 years old. TJ was in remission almost 3 years before he relapsed on 1/25/18. At that point his neuroblastoma was diagnosed as terminal, treatable but not curable. So far TJ has had radiation to help shrink his tumor and is currently undergoing Chemotherapy and immuno-therapy. He will eventually have to travel for MIBG therapy. In which his mother Kerry will have to take time off of work to care for both Larry & TJ during both of their treatments/recovery.
As of right now Larry’s wife & TJ’s mom Kerry is the only one working. She can only work part time because of TJ’s treatment. Right now the family cannot pay all of their household bills, car payments and medical bills do to the circumstances. They need their car to get Larry & TJ to their appointments.
Alden and the surrounding towns are amazing communities of wonderful, generous people. We are asking for your help and support for this family.
