It was a horrific accident in the Town of Burns over the weekend that killed four teenagers. An unthinkable tragedy taking four young lives at one awful time. Now, the community is coming together to embrace the families, friends and fellow students of those killed.

State police have identified the occupants of the car as 16-year-old Rebecca Earner,  16-year-old Ambra Eddleton, 14-year-old Justin Carpenter, 14-year-old Kyrstin Wolfanger 16-year-old Kelsi Bird.

Kelsi Bird is the only survivor of the crash – the only one – according to police – who was wearing a seat belt.

There will be a vigil Sunday evening at 6 pm at Babcock Park in Dansville.

Also, a Gofundme Page has been set up for the family of one of the victims – 14-year-old Justin Carpenter. Organizers hope to raise money for the boy’s funeral.

Here is the information from the fundraising page.

“Our neighbors have had to endure the tragedy of losing their 14 year old son Justin David Carpenter in the recent car accident in Burns NY. Four other children were in the vehicle yesterday morning which also took the lives of 3 other teens. As we all know, no one is generally prepared to have to bury one of their children and we want to raise this money to ease some of the financial burden on Rob and Patty Carpenter. Losing a child is awful enough! If you can find it in your heart to donate, every little bit helps and 100% of these donations will be given to Justin’s parents. Please continue to pray for this family and all of the others that have lost their child or family member in this accident. Thank you.”

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
