HEARTBREAKING UPDATE: We’ve been following his journey for years. The Buffalo Bills Superfan who showed us what team dedication and love was all about – even in the tough times.
Ezra Castro – the man behind the mask – has battled cancer and we are sad to report – the husband and father has passed away.

His twitter account said this: Our hearts broken as we have lost our dear brother Ezra “Pancho Billa” this morning. We are thankful and forever grateful for all the love and support during this journey. Ezra was surrounded by family and loved ones. At this time we ask for privacy as we mourn our loss.”

Ezra leaves behind a wife and two children.

May he Rest in Peace.

He was a symbol of inspiration – with his amazing attitude and of course, unwavering support of the Buffalo Bills.  Known as Pancho Billa – a beloved larger-than-life character. But, in real life – Ezra Castro was much more. A dad. A husband. A friend.

During his time battling cancer, twitter fans – including celebrities and pro athletes –  from near and far have sent love, prayers and well-wishes to the Bills Super-Fan who is in a Houston hospital.

Castro lived in Texas but had a special place in his heart for the Queen City and told me in a Totally Buffalo interview last year that he always appreciated all of the support.

Castro was a Bills fan since 1986-87 . He says it was the colors and logo that got him!

Even through the bad times, he supported his team.

And his team continued to support him.

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
