This is totally Buffalo.
Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback, Andy Dalton basically helped put the Bills in the playoffs and well, the Bills fans surely appreciate it. So much so, they are putting their money where their mouth is!
Bills fans have apparently helped Dalton’s charity raise a whopping $37,000 in just a few hours.
Apparently, Dalton pulled out his phone to check the numbers on donations to his foundation, noting that most of them were in $17 increments. He thought about it for a moment, then he realized why.
The $17 dollars represent the 17 seasons between playoff berths for the Bills. 17 seasons. 18 years since the Bills played post-season.
How amazing is that.
Dalton sent a thank you tweet to the Bills fans saying, “Update on what the Bills fans have done for the @ajdfoundation. We have over 1000 donors and raised $22,000. Let’s keep this going.”
He happily followed that up with one more, “Update: 1600 donors, $37,000! #BillsMafia we can’t thank you enough! This money is going to make a huge impact for seriously ill and physically challenged kids and their families. Keep it coming!!”
They kept it coming! The grand total is $52,000 in 24 hours.
How incredible. Folks from Buffalo and Western New York are so generous, so kind – and SO thankful to Andy Dalton for that amazing last minute touchdown pass!
This is a win-win. The money is going to the AJD Foundation – (Andy & Jordan Dalton) where they provide daily support, opportunities, resources, and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth.
You can add another $17 from the Friona-Celani family. 🙂
Donations: $52,000.
Bills going to the Playoffs: Priceless
