What has now become an annual tradition in the Southtowns is kicking off its 3rd season.  The Orchard Park Farmers & Artisans Market presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York is set for Thursday, May 24th in the Orchard Fresh parking lot in OP.  The series runs every Thursday from May 24th thru October 4th and features some of the best the area has to offer in the way of food, craft and entertainment.

Coming off the success of last year’s season, The Orchard Park Farmers & Artisans Market will showcase 18 vendors every week along with live music and the BCBS Healthy Cruiser.  Those in attendance will enjoy great local produce, snacks, artwork, crafts and music.  The BCBS Healthy Cruiser offers fun kid’s activities including hula hoops, jump ropes and cornhole boards.

“We know that Farmers Markets support the local economy and support healthy eating.  As a community-based health plan, promoting regional fresh produce and encouraging Southtowners to visit this great venue each week will enhance health,” said Julie R. Snyder, Vice President, Corporate Relations, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. “We are pleased to partner with initiatives like this, particularly throughout the Summer and Fall seasons.”

The Orchard Park Farmers & Artisans Market runs from 3:00pm to 7:00pm (rain or shine!) every Thursday starting on May 24th.  Along with signature sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, the market is also sponsored by Envision Real Estate and Premium Mortgage.

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
