On Friday, June 8, John Robinson and Doug Hamlin will commence their sixth annual ‘Journey Along the Erie Canal,’ a 350-mile, 12-day bicycle ride across New York via the historic Erie Canalway Trail.
The two men are partners in Our Ability, a network of services that champions the inclusivity of people with disabilities in the workplace. Each day during the Journey, Robinson, Hamlin and other members of Our Ability will collect video stories and photos to raise awareness for people with disabilities, all while sharing the beauty of New York State!
This year’s ride highlights the growth of the 30 business-member New York Business Leadership Network (NYBLN), a coalition of businesses in New York State interested in both hiring and supporting businesses owned by individuals with disabilities.
Nineteen volunteers from M&T Bank, a NYBLN member organization, will join Our Ability for the first leg of the trip. Two dozen will also help see the riders off with a start-line celebration.

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
