It’s a story that touched everyone. A collective broken heart across Western New York and beyond. The loss of this absolutely beautiful little boy has impacted everyone.
The show of support for the Calanni family is nothing short of amazing. The posts popping up on Facebook from local businesses has been incredibly heartwarming.
Here are some of the businesses and what they are offering as they remember Luca and raise money for the foundation formed in his name – The Luca S. Calanni Foundation.
The Armor Inn Tap Room has a Luca burger and other items in which part of the proceeds will go to the foundation.
Amsdell Ice Cream is hosting a “pop up” on February 1st from noon to 4 pm. Proceeds will go to the foundation. They will also be selling Car Decals (donated by a family friend) and Wristbands for a donation.
From Prima Oliva Store and Cafe:Â
“In honor of Luca Calanni we will be donating a portion of our café and retail proceeds from this Saturday 1/18 to The Luca S. Calanni Foundation. Our hearts go out to Luca’s family, sending love & support from the Sgroi family.”
From Melanie’s Eats and Sweets:Â
“This weekend we will have these cupcakes as well as Chocolate chip and M&M cookies. ?Proceeds will go to the family of Luca ?”
Tim Hortons locations in Hamburg (Lakeshore Road & Southwestern Boulevard) are selling these orange frosted donutes with proceeds from the sale of the donut going to the Luca S. Calanni Foundation.
What a wonderful community we are lucky enough to be a part of.
According to reports – Luca told his father he would love to help others.
“Dad if we win the lottery, can we start a foundation?” his father recalls him saying. “I want to help kids who aren’t as lucky as I am and experience the things that I have. That would be really fun, I would love to do that.”
Now his family is doing just that.
