We’ve said it a million times before and we will say it again. This community rocks.
We told you about our friend, baby Carson Barnhart.
He is adorable. And as we’ve said before, he’s tough, too.
Carson was diagnosed with a brain tumor at just 5 months old. It was a congenital glioblastoma, which is extremely rare in infants. So rare – there are about 20 diagnosed each year in the U.S.
As Carson continues his chemotherapy treatment, his spirit continues to shine. This little guy has gone through so much already in his young life.
He’s also captured the hearts of Western New Yorkers.
We told you a few weeks ago that we wanted to make Carson’s first birthday a very special day. We made an Amazon Wish List of everything Carson’s mom, Kelly said they might need. You guys rallied. Not only was the entire list purchased – but, many Amazon gift cards were as well.
We were incredibly happy to deliver the gifts and gift cards to Carson. The little sweetie has a new car seat, clothes, baby gates, a rocking horse, baby bike, water table, book, stuffed animals, many gift cards and more!!! Thank you for your generosity, WNY!!! We also sent gifts for Carson’s big brother, Bryce and big sis, Reagan!

We are so fortunate to live in such a kind and caring community. Thank you for helping this family to celebrate their amazing little baby boy! The Barnhart’s have two older children, too and we know that cancer can impact the entire family, including siblings. That’s why we sent Reagan and Bryce a few special gifts, too.
