They are our most vulnerable group of people and right now they need us the most. Our elderly population is in need of basic items such as food and toiletries.
Thankfully, they are getting some help from the non-profit organization Senior Wishes. The charity normally helps make wishes come true for seniors but now they are not helping with wishes – they are helping with essentials!
From the charity: “Senior Wishes is shifting resources to help our seniors who are in need of the basics right now, and have no way of getting them. Today we delivered groceries to an 82 year old man who normally relies on his local food pantry, which is now closed. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he opened his door.”
