Jim Kelly was diagnosed with oral squamous-cell carcinoma in May 2013. He had been cancer-free since September 2014. A biopsy in February revealed the cancer has returned.
He had major surgery in March where doctors worked to remove the cancer and reconstruct much of Kelly’s upper jaw which he has revealed has caused him massive amounts of pain every day.
Jill Kelly posted on Instagram Thursday that her husband is back in the Big Apple for more surgery. She said, “Another step forward in the healing process. If all goes well, we will be back home by the weekend. Other than God’s Grace and a whole lot of praying … I don’t know how he does it.”
