Family asks for extra prayers as Trooper Joseph Gallagher undergoes surgery

State Trooper Joseph Gallagher’s family is asking for extra prayers as he undergoes surgery Tuesday. (April 3)

New York State Trooper Joseph Gallagher was helping a stranded motorist on December 18th – when he was struck by a car on an overpass from the Long Island Expressway. The 35-year old, West Seneca Native was critically injured.

There is a still a long road ahead, but we do have an update on Trooper Gallagher that his family has asked us to pass along. Trooper Gallagher is at Kessler Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey.

Family and friends want everyone to know that they do believe in the power of prayer and appreciate your continued well wishes.

Trooper Gallagher was born in South Buffalo and went to Bishop Timon High School.

He lives downstate and has a wife and two young children.

We are sending prayers to Trooper Gallagher and his family.
