Empty chairs represent heartbreaking reality.

It is a stunning show of symbolism.

Sunday was the annual Kaely’s Kindness mother-daughter luncheon. It is a special time for the girls to get together, support one another, and celebrate life. All of the girls are cancer warriors. They’re strong, brave, and nothing short of amazing.

But, the sad reality of childhood cancer is that not everyone survives. It is heartbreaking to think about; those young lives taken too soon.

Today, those lost were remembered and honored.

Ten chairs each with only a photo. Ten chairs where beautiful young ladies should be sitting. Ten lives lost. Ten angels.

It is a stunning reminder of the reality of childhood cancer.

The work Kaely’s Kindness does is simply amazing. This luncheon is a special time for the girls and their moms. It’s also a time to remember those we lost and those who are greatly missed.

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
