The community is coming together to grieve and remember 7-year-old Anthony Conti and also to help his family as they try to come to grips with this unimaginable loss.

A 7-year-old boy is dead, and two people were rescued from a house fire on Benzinger Street just before 3 a.m. Monday morning.

Family, friends and neighbors are invited to gather at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church at 7 p.m. Monday evening for a candle light vigil to pray for Anthony.  (45 Ideal Street, Buffalo)

Friends are helping by accepting any donations. You can find more information HERE.  A fundraising event is also in the works, we will update with time and location as soon as it becomes available.

The Mead Library is also accepting donations for the family.

Lovejoy Councilmember, Rich Fontana says they will accept any non-monetary items, including blankets and clothes.

If you would like to donate shoes/clothing for the Conti family, here are the sizes

  • Mom: x-small shirts and pants, size 9 shoes
  • Dad: x-large shirts and size 32 pants, size 12 shoe
  • Angelo (teen boy): med shirts and pants, men’s size 13 shoes
  • Kaylee (teen girl): med shirts and pants, women’s size 9 shoes
  • Amber (teen girl): small shirts and pants, women’s size 9 shoes
  • Aria (toddler girl): 3T, kids size 10 shoes

The family lost everything. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

There is also a Gofundme set up for the family – here is the link – https://www.gofundme.com/benzinger-st-fire-conti-family

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
