Kimberly Armas was overjoyed with the way a Salvation Army Bell ringer treated her son.
Here’s what happened.
Her 8-year old son, who has autism, was having a meltdown on the way into Walmart.
She finally calmed him down but he was still very upset. As they walked over to the door, the bell ringer, apparently picking up on the boy’s mood, began singing to him. Well, that little guy’s mood sure did change.
Suddenly he had the biggest smile on his face.
Here’s the thing – that bell ringer’s name is Bill Hahn and it turns out ,he is always doing things like this. He’s become known as Lockport’s own Santa Claus!
He is, according to folks in Lockport, the embodiment of the Christmas spirit! A wonderful man filled with love and joy.
The next trip Kimberly made to Walmart – there was Mr. Hahn – smiling and singing. She gave him a few gifts from her son. He was over the moon appreciative.
For Kimberly, it’s a wonderful reminder of the reason for the season – to share kindness with others, to bring joy to those who need it most – and that it really is better to give than to receive.
For Mr. Hahn, it’s just another day at the office!
Merry Christmas!
