ABC News Anchor, Amy Robach was honored by Roswell Park Cancer Institute at their All Star Night black-tie gala over the weekend.
Robach – a breast cancer survivor – was honored for the “extraordinary courage” she has shown in the face of her battle.
The “Good Morning America” news anchor was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 after an on-air mammogram. She chose to fight the disease in the public eye in order to spread awareness and hope to as many individuals as possible. Robach’s book, “Better: How I Let Go of Control, Held On to Hope, and Found Joy in My Darkest Hour,” demonstrates her courage while outlining her fight, her motivation and her optimism, bringing further encouragement to those who share in the fight against cancer.
I’m told by a few guests at the event – that Robach gave a fantastic and inspirational speech.
The journalist shared this photo on her Instagram with her husband, Andrew Shue. (who you may recognize from the extremely popular show, Melrose Place!)
She also took a ride on the Maid of the Mist and shared this photo – with a caption, “The moment I wished I brought a change of clothes for the plane ride home…”
