We first told you about little Francesca just last week. (Read story)
The 3-year-old was diagnosed with leukemia in mid-February. Her father, Dominic told us the plan was 29-days of intense chemotherapy in the hospital. And that was what was happening. Until something pretty remarkable happened.
Francesca’s father, Dominic Morabito asked me to pass along some news, “Here’s a follow up for you, Francesca is home! The doctors were so confidant in the way she responded to the treatments that they felt confidant enough to let her finish her initial regiment of treatments at home.” He went on to say how grateful he is, “I just can’t thank everyone enough for the prayers and words of support and encouragement over the last week.”
Francesca still has a long road ahead, with three weeks of chemotherapy left, followed by years of maintenance. A nurse visits several times a week to monitor the little girl.
Friends and family have set up a fundraising page and they are planning a benefit for the family on May 20, 2017. More details to come on that soon.
For now, let’s all continue sending prayers and good vibes to sweet little Francesca!
Please be sure to notify of when/where the fundraiser will be for this little one – thank you
