Sometimes life’s blows come one after another. It’s hard to get up, when you keep getting pushed down. Kathy Karam has had her share of hardships is an understatement. The single mom is doing her best, raising her three boys: Anthony (19), Logan (16) and Nicholas (11). Her children have faced several hardships with both their education and their health. Her youngest is currently dealing with Crohn’s Disease, which is a daily battle.
Kathy has been living in her Depew home, which she’s rented for the past 18 years, but is now being forced from the home, because her landlord has apparently forced the home into foreclosure. He gave Kathy and her boys 90 days to find a new home. As if that’s not bad enough…
Last Friday her son Anthony was diagnosed with leukemia. He is currently at Women and Children’s Hospital receiving treatment. To say that Kathy has a huge uphill battle is an understatement. She needs to find housing, while caring for a sick son, and also finding time to take care of her other two boys.
