At 94, Mrs. Claus is back at it again – and it’s all for the kids.

We first told you about Rosaria Cromwell earlier this year – when she finished the last item on her bucket list; a wonderful sleigh ride with friends and family. It was a pretty obvious dream for a woman who’s been playing Mrs. Claus for decades. This year, she was able to do it, again. This year, was no exception.

Rose put on her favorite costume and was ready to get to work. This year was a bit different, though. Her regular Santa was recovering from surgery, so her grandson, Sam stepped in to play the big guy. It proved to be a real family affair when Rose’s great-granddaughter and great-great-granddaughter came to visit, too.

Rose has had an incredible life. She’s been around for 17 presidents and countless historical events – World War 2, the great depression, President Kennedy’s assassination, and many others. Sure, she’ll chat about that stuff, but what she really likes to talk about – her favorite subject is her family. It’s quite a family. Rosaria has 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She brags about all of them, “None of them has ever gotten into any trouble. They are all loving and respectful. I am very blessed.”

If you consider all of the love and joy that Rose has brought to not only her family, but all of those children over the years – it’s easy to see that she is clearly the real Mrs. Claus – filled with hope and good cheer.

Merry Christmas, Rose!!!

Great-Great-Grandmother (Mrs. Claus) reminds all of us to NEVER give up on our dreams.

93-year-old ‘Mrs. Claus’ has one thing left on her bucket list. Any guesses?

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
