The Royal Pitches… Fierce, Talented, Empowered!

The Royal Pitches is the University at Buffalo’s only all-female acapella group.

Since their establishment in 1996, they take pride in using their voices to show the world what an all-female acappella group can achieve; to inspire women everywhere, to maintain the strength and poise, and to overcome adversity.

The President of the Royal Pitches,  Haylee Jankowiak – says what they do is a great way to bring joy to others,

“While we have a Fall and Spring concert every school year, we embrace opportunities to perform at events such as Take Back the Night, UB’s Walk to End Sexual Violence, and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. On Saturday, December 2nd, we invite you to join us at our Winter Concert. We will be releasing our EP Album, Natural Women, and 10% of the concert profit will be donated to a local charity.”

“Being part of the Royal Pitches has taught me to step outside my comfort zone, and to provide a different type of responsibility and dedication.  We are constantly building each other up and are always there for each other–in addition to performing and making music.  As corny and cliche as it sounds, we accept and love every facet and trust each other with anything.  The Pitches is like a home away from home–a second family.”

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner.
