It was, by all accounts, a Christmas miracle. The little boy from Niagara Falls headed to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh on Christmas Day, with his parents. On December 26, 2017, doctors took a kidney from his mother, Angela Cheff and put it into the little boy – who was suffered from end stage renal failure. The surgery was a success.
After months of dialysis, little Gene was given another chance at life – was given the gift of life – by his mother. Both Angela and Gene are doing well!
