Mums Exhibit at The Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Avenue, Buffalo, NY – November 2nd and 3rd from 10-4:30 (included with admission)
The Botanical Gardens’ oldest flower exhibit is celebrating its 119th anniversary. The Chrysanthemum (Mum) Exhibit has taken a bit of a spooky turn this year! MUMster Mash is this year’s theme that shows a mad scientist lab, a spooky cemetery, ghosts, mummies and more. The seasonal fun will be accompanied by thousands of BOOtiful mums. Halloween may be over, but this exhibit is worth seeing and is up through the weekend!!!
Canalside – Grain Elevator Light Display – 44 Prime Street, Buffalo, NY (FREE)
Check out one of Buffalo’s historic grain elevators in a spectacular new light! This evolving light show transforms the structure into a contemplative artistic lighting installation that can be enjoyed from the boardwalk at Canalside and from the Outer Harbor. You can see the facade of this vacant architectural icon filled with light every evening, all year round, at nightfall until 11:00 pm.

At Locust Street Art, we’re proud to give the children of Buffalo, NY the chance to develop as artists in an encouraging and accessible environment, absolutely free of charge. Art is a uniquely rewarding form of self-expression, and it’s also been linked to the development of critical thinking and interpersonal skills, especially in children. If you’re looking for a program that will give your child a positive outlet for self-expression and also help them grow as a person, then our painting and drawing class might be for you.

Woods Walk – Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, 93 Honorine Drive, Depew, NY – all day! FREE
Take in nature, get some exercise and have fun together enjoying the great outdoors! There are about three and a half miles of gentle trails for you explore daily from sunrise to sunset.
Visitors are requested to sign in and out at the main trailhead kiosk and obey the posted rules. Interpretive pamphlets corresponding to the Lily Pond Loop, Footprint Trail, and Beech Tree Trail are available at each trailhead kiosk or inside the Environmental Education Center. Interpretive signs are found along the State Symbols Trail and History Trail. Benches are available on most trails.
Kid’s Club at Michael’s on Transit – Michael’s Store, 5055 Transit Road, Williamsville, NY – Saturday, November 2nd 10-noon
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. $3 per project, supplies included. Adult must remain on premises during the 30 minute crafting session.
Breezy Hill Alpacas Fall Fest – Breezy Hill, 7403 Northwoods Rd, Arcade, NY – November 2nd 9-3
Come meet all twenty five friendly, fluffy alpacas. Welcome our two new baby girls, Peanut and Phoebe. Walk an alpaca through the obstacle course. Learn everything you want to know about alpacas. Sweeten up your day with some local honey from Woodchuck’s WNY honey. Eat some tastefully simple treats.
Trek Tifft – Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Fuhrmann Blvd., Buffalo, NY Tifft Nature Preserve Visitor Center – Sunday, November 3rd from 2-3:30
Buffalo, NY,Pile in the car and head over to Tifft for a relaxing adventure in the great outdoors! Drop in on Sunday afternoon and join us for a guided tour of the preserve. Please call 825-6397 to confirm walk will be taking place. $2 donation per person is appreciated.
