Upstate New York Transplant Services or UNYTS is undergoing a name change. The organization – which makes a commitment to enhance and save lives through organ, eye, tissue and blood donation while maintaining respect for those who give the Gift of Life – will now be called ConnectLife. They made the change to help build their brand – and allow folks to know exactly what they do. They wanted a name that better represented what we do, which, at its core, is connecting families, neighbors, and communities. ConnectLife emerged as the name that was best associated with not only connecting people through blood, organ, eye, and tissue donation, but also conveying a sense of warmth, caring, optimism, and hope.
So – Unyts is now ConnectLife!
In the most uncomplicated terms, ConnectLife helps people help others. ConnectLife is Western New York’s only community blood center and federally designated organ, eye, and tissue procurement agency.
ConnectLife saves and enhances lives through the support and compassion of donors who graciously choose to give the gift of life.
All of the blood that ConnectLife collects stays local, helping nearly every hospital in Western New York’s eight counties maintain safe inventory levels while saving them millions of dollars in out-of-state sourcing costs. And for every pint of blood donated, we save the lives of three of our neighbors.
