Ten Lives Club awarded $10,000 grant from East Hill Foundation to save more cats!!

Ten Lives Club is thrilled to announce that they’ve been awarded a $10,000 grant from the East Hill Foundation to help save more cats in Western New York. The grant is part of the Save the Cats Project and will allow the rescue to purchase a new feline serenity suite, a flat-top surgery table and an autoclave.

“We are incredibly grateful to the East Hill Foundation for awarding Ten Lives Club a grant to help continue saving as many cats as we can. This year alone we’ve assisted more than 1,600 cats and that number grows every day. This essential equipment will allow us to house more cats and take care of their medical needs in the most efficient manner possible,” said Kimberly LaRussa, Public Relations Manager for Ten Lives Club.

The feline serenity suite will give felines room to roam and make choices, which studies show lowers stress and helps cats stay healthier. The stainless steel cages come with portals that allow for the cats to have more space to jump, hide and just be cats.

The flat-top surgery table promotes a bacteria-free environment and allows for more efficient surgeries. Not only is the surgery table essential for Ten Lives Club cats, it will also benefit those seeking low cost spay and neuters.

The autoclave will be used to properly sterilize medical instruments. Ten Lives Club does around 50 to 75 surgeries a week. For the past 20 years, Ten Lives Club has helped more than 35,000 cats in need.

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
