East Aurora Native is Part Owner of Derby Winner!!!

Authentic, with 8-1 odds, is the winner of the 146th Kentucky Derby!

Bob Baffert is Authentic’s trainer and John R. Velazquez was the jockey onboard who crossed the line first!

But something very cool – is a local connection to this amazing animal!

Scott Emblidge – an East Aurora Native – is a part owner. Emblidge posted on his Facebook Page recently,

“Well…we did it. Becky and I own minority shares in Authentic that won the $1 million Haskell Stakes on Saturday. Authentic is now 2nd favorite to win the Kentucky Derby on September 5.”

Well from 2nd favorite to WINNER!!  Congratulations to Authentic and Scott and Becky!!!
