AMBER ALERT CANCELED  – McKenzie Wilson is safe according to officials.  The two teens are in custody. no further details available at this time

URGENT: AMBER ALERT –  NYSP Machias has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred in Lyndon, New York.

 

The Amber Alert has been issued for a child abduction in Lyndon in Cattaraugus County.  New York State Police in Machias say the abduction occurred near Shady Lane around 5 a.m.
The child, McKenzie Wilson, is a white female with straight, blonde hair and blue eyes. She is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds.
One suspect, Joshua Monette, is a white male about 18-years-old with short, black hair and brown eyes. He stand about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. Monette was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans, boots, black shirt, and carrying a black duffel bag.
The other suspect – John Harvey, is a white male about 16-years-old with brown hair.
The public should be on the lookout for a red extended cab Chevy Silverado pickup truck with New York State license plate number CXA5836.

The suspect was last seen driving Southeast on the road, possibly heading for the Allegany Mountains.

Police say the suspects took the child under circumstances that lead them to believe she is in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death.
Police believe the suspects are armed with handguns.
