We are very excited to team up with our friends at The Pink Cow Ice Cream for a special series called ‘kid of the week’.
Our first one is very special and we are hoping you will help us rally around this little sweetie and show her what true Buffalove is!
Meet Summer Schohn.
This sweet girl is about to turn 8 years old this weekend. She is currently battling Leukemia. Her mom, Sunday, said it’s been a tough time, “It has been a hard couple weeks. She has a spinal tap chemo at Roswell. All and all I do have to say she is doing well through it.”
This isn’t the first time Summer has battled cancer. She fought and beat a different form of Leukemia back in 2012. She was just five months old when she was diagnosed. She was seven years clear and then the unthinkable – another cancer diagnosis. This time Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
A bit about Summer – she LOVES all things frozen and she loves getting mail.
So here we go – this is easy. Our friends at The Pink Cow are raising money with an amazing Sundae!!!! Stop in The Pink Cow at 13119 Broadway St, Alden and get this week’s Share the Love Sundae: The Summer Lovin’ Sundae!!!
Here’s a description from our friends at Pink Cow: This sundae features our creamy vanilla custard topped with mixed berries, nutella, crushed oreos and finished off with homemade waffle cone chunks! Created by our Scooper, Elisha-Elijah, one dollar from each of these sundaes will be donated to the Family of Summer Schohn to help with their expenses as they Battle Childhood Leukemia.
We just love this little girl. We first met her while delivering our Valentine’s Day Care Packages to the tiny patients on the Oncology Floor at Oishei Children’s Hospital. What a sweetie she is. Plus, we also have something in common – we love Pink Cow Ice Cream too! That is why – our charity, Totally Buffalo’s Hope for the Holidays is picking up the tab for Summer’s ice cream treats ALL SUMMER LONG! Whatever she wants, whenever she wants it!!!! We’re calling it the Summer of Summer!!! (if you would like to make a donation to our Summer of Summer – you can HERE.)
So – stop by and get a Summer Lovin’ Sundae asap … this special sundae runs until June 29th. Also, this Friday, The Pink Cow is having a Say Hello to Summer party where they will be making cards for Summer! There will be “Cowaoke” fun and donation buckets will be out, too! So stop by Friday!!
