This is absolutely heartbreaking. This beautiful young woman passed away tragically during child birth. Ali Waclawek was just 31-years-old. She leaves behind her husband, Justin and their newborn baby girl, Ada. Family and friends have come together to help raise money for the family as they make their way through these dark and painful times.

Here is what friends have written on a GoFundMe Page.

“On Friday, August 16th, Ali Carey Waclawek unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind her husband Justin and their newborn baby Ada. Ali’s passing has touched the hearts of family and so many friends, leaving a huge hole in the lives of many.

In memory of Ali, a Support Fundraiser has been opened for Justin and Ada to assist with medical expenses, funeral costs, and other unexpected child care needs.

There has been an outpouring of love and support, and we want Justin to remember that he is not alone, as well as ease his burdens so he can focus on his beautiful baby daughter.

No matter the size of the contribution or even if you are unable to contribute monetarily, we ask that you please continue to keep your thoughts and prayers with Justin, Ada, and Justin and Ali’s families during this extremely painful period.”

If you would like to help the family, you can donate on a GoFundMe Page created for them.  CLICK HERE

The family has issued a statement of gratitude:

“On behalf of the Carey and Waclawek family, we are absolutely overwhelmed by your generosity and so filled with gratitude in knowing we have such an incredible network of support. We truly cannot thank you enough for rallying around Justin and baby Ada. We love you all.”

About Me

Welcome to Totally Buffalo! A local lifestyle website.

My name is Mary Friona-Celani and I am the creator of this site! I’m a wife, a mom, a grandma, a Buffalo booster, an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I’m so glad you stopped by.  After 20 years in the buffalo media, I went out on my own to tell stories about the people, places, events and all-around fabulousness of this wonderful place we call home. Buffalo is different and so is this site. We are here to share stories, encourage kindness, and help make this a better place to live.

We’ll help those in need when we can through our charity arm, Totally Buffalo Cares.

We help local small businesses, artisans and vendors though our events and our Totally Buffalo Stores.

We’ll do all of this with a little help from friends in our community.
