Earlier this year, Andrew Lotocki was on the job, delivering mail, living and loving life. That is until February 27th – when everything changed.
Andrew was working, when he suddenly passed out. Test results would show devastating news; Andrew had a brain tumor. He was diagnosed with Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma.
There were no signs. No warnings. No headaches, nothing.
Andrew’s brother-in-law explains what happened next, “He required surgery to remove the tumor on March 1. After coming home on March 6, he was rushed back to the hospital two days later and required a second brain surgery to resolve a blood clot. Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma is a very rare form of brain cancer where the reported prevalence is approximately 1/300,000.”
Andrew is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. He is supported by family, friends and his wife of just one year.  Andrew is the son of Buffalo Fire Battalion Chief Pete Lotocki.
Andrew has a tough road ahead and will be out of work for some time. That is why family and friends have started a GoFundMe page for him. You can find more and donate on the page HERE. Â
We send our best wishes to Andrew and his family. Please help if you can.
Additionally, a benefit will be held July 22 at the Woodlawn Fire Hall from 2-6 p.m. More details as we get them.
