Family & friends ask for prayers for “Italian-American” man of the year as he undergoes 2nd liver transplant in days

Carmen Palma needs our prayers. Palma is the President and CEO of the Buffalo Italian Festival, and dear friend of the Italian-American Police & Federation of Italian-Societies of WNY. Just last October, the businessman was honored as the Italian American Man of the Year by Western New York’s Italian-American Community.
Palma was diagnosed with liver cancer and was in need of a transplant.
A few days ago, Carmen’s wonderful grandson donated a portion of his liver – unfortunately, the liver didn’t take and doctors said he needed a complete liver and not a portion of a liver – which often works fine.
Yesterday, they did find another liver from a deceased person who was a registered organ donor. Surgery was finished at 4 am and Carmen is now resting.
Now family and friends are hoping for prayers. They believe in the power of prayer and hope you’ll take a few moments out of your day – during this crisis we are facing – and pray for Carmen. Carmen has spent his life helping others.
We are sending many prayers to this wonderful man and his family. This is a true reminder of the importance of organ donation. Please talk with your family members about your wishes and please consider giving the gift of life.
God Bless you Carmen!!
