One of the great cultural gifts of Buffalo and WNY is our music. We proudly maintain a rich music history in our region going all the way back to the city’s inception. From the ethnic music of our early immigrants, to tavern music, vaudeville, the prominent jazz era and our important role during the birth of rock n’ roll - all the way up to Rick James, Ani DiFranco and The Goo Goo Dolls - Buffalo’s music tradition is vast and vibrant.
